Review Board

The CoEE Review Board consists of eleven appointed members: three appointed by the Governor, three by the President Pro Tempore of the State Senate, three by the Speaker of the State House of Representatives, one by the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, and one by the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. Members are appointed to serve three-year terms. The presidents of the state’s three research universities (Clemson University, the Medical University of South Carolina, and the University of South Carolina) also serve as ex-officio (non-voting) members of the Board.

The purpose of the CoEE Review Board is to oversee the operation of the CoEE Endowment. The main responsibilities of board members include determining whether applicants for endowment funds have met all requirements, appointing expert panels to evaluate specific elements of applications for funds, and judging whether or not to award endowment funds to applicants.
